We’re teaming up with The London Girls Book Club for a Summer Edition of our cozy, booze-free night of reading, chatting, and sipping delicious non-alcoholic drinks. Whether you’re sober, sober-curious, or just taking a break, this is the perfect chance to unwind with like-minded people, soak up the good vibes, and enjoy refreshing AF cocktails under the summer sun. 🍹📚☀️
When: Wednesday 16th July
Time: 7pm - 9pm
Where: The Exhibit (The Garden Room) 12 Balham Station Rd, London SW12 9SG
What: The Plan:
- Grab your welcome drink on arrival - This is included in your ticket price, the bar will open to buy more booze-free beverages after this.
- Bring your favourite book
- Settle in for some quiet reading time and reading sprints (you’ll love it!).
- Then, we’ll have time to chat about the books you’ve been reading and share thoughts on everything from the latest books, to all things being sober or sober curious!
This event is all about good vibes, reading together, great conversations, and enjoying time with others who love books as much as you do.
Since this event is all about reading and books, we’ve added the option to purchase Millie’s book, The Sober Girl Handbook
The small stuff
Feeling nervous? Don’t worry! We’ll have mixers to help break the ice, and many attendees come alone. If you want to chat with other attendees beforehand? Join our Cliq community and local group chat here. Looking to grab a signed Sober Girl Society Handbook? Select this option when you purchase your ticket, and we’ll bring it along to the event. This event will be filmed and photographed. Founded by Caitlin, a Geordie gal from Newcastle, we host monthly book clubs our way, organise fun socials like twerk classes, crafty events, writing meet-ups, and wellness sessions—all designed to help you meet and connect with other book-loving gals! Plus, we host exciting bookish retreats (we’ve been to Morocco, the Kent countryside, and are off to Bali next!).
