How to get your book published with Millie and Fern

A workshop with author Millie Gooch, all about learning about publishing and where to start in non fiction publishing. Millie will be chatting through her publishing experiences as well as talking to Fern Beattie, author of Seven Women of Saturn and founder of Independent Publisher Write Bloody.

In this workshop, Millie will cover:

- The basics of getting your non-fiction book published (from her experience!)

- The proposal she used to land a book deal with Penguin

- The pros and cons of publishing vs. self/independent publishing with Fern Beattie

About Fern Beattie:

Fern Beattie is a writer from London and the founder of the independent poetry publishing company Write Bloody UK. She has a BA Honours in English Literature & Classical Civilisation and is the writer of the short film Shaping Scars, which was officially selected for the LA Dance Short Film Festival, TIFF, Korea Film Festival, L Fest, and Flatlands Dance Film Festival in 2017. She has published three poetry collections and was the winner of the 2022 Kent & Sussex Poetry Prize.
